My Pretty Zombie!

I asked on my facebook page for some recommendations on new companies to try out and quite a few people suggested My Pretty Zombie. They had a killer deal (lolz) for three samples in your choice of color for $3.64. I ordered and my samples came within a week in a  letter size envelope enclosed in the card above. How awesome is that card. I seriously had to stare it for quite a while because the detail are just great. My kids however were semi horrified. They were more shocked as to why someone would do that to a Barbie then scared though. Seeing the name of the company is My Pretty Zombie I was not offended or shocked by the card. I actually enjoyed it.

Inside were the 3 samples I chose. I have been loving the whole Fall color scheme so I chose Miasma, Murder and Moist. Wow, that is a lot of M's. The samples were not labeled with ingredients but were labeled with color name and website.

The pigments swatched nicely. I do not have a favorite because these are all colors that I love lately but Murder is a really nice rusty red color. I already have quite a few rusty reds, golden yellows and oranges in my collection so these did not stand out overall for me but they are just as nice as the colors in my collection.
Here is a look I did using all three colors. The pigments applied every well. They went on pretty opaque and blended very easily. No fall out at all.
Overall I really liked the samples I received.  The price was nice for samples. Regular pricing is $5.00 for a five gram jar. The etsy shop could use a bit more organization . All of the cosmetics are lumped into one category so if you are looking for certain colors you have to go through three pages.
Have you tried My Pretty Zombie? If so what are your favorite colors they offer?

Coastal Scents 88 Palette One Week Challenge #7

For this look I used A5 on the brow bone and I4, I5, J7 and K7. My blush is Urban Decay Score and my lips are Delighted Lipsurgence by Tarte

I actually really enjoyed using this palette all week. I still have a few more color combinations I want to do this next week using this palette! You would think I would be sick of using it but I am actually having a hard time doing back to loose pigments. Only because it is so much harder to choose colors to go together and pull everything out. I am dying for the shimmer palette from Coastal Scents and some of the other smaller ones including the blush palette. Ahhhh no buy be over already!!!!!!

Coastal Scents 88 Palette One Week Challenge Look #5

For this look I used A5 all over my brow bone and underneath my brow. I did this so blended the top edge of the purple would be easier. I also used H1 on the inner tear duct area and blended it inward. The I used G6, F8 which turned out to be too bluish so I added some H8 also. I used G3 to blend out the top edge of the purple.

My liner is Jordana Fabuliner and my mascara is Stila Major Lash. I used Revlon Colorstay eyeliner on my eyebrows.

Coastal Scents 88 Palette 1 week challenge! #4

This look is so full of fail. As I was applying it I quickly realized it was almost identical the look I did a couple days ago. Then when I was putting my eyeliner on I hit my eyelid and left a nice black mark. I will admit I was so frustrated I started crying ( I was already annoyed because nothing I have to wear fits right. I have lost quite a bit of weight and everything looks frumpy now). So I had to add a bunch more black to this look which I did not want to do. I ended using A5 on my brow bone and just under my eyebrow. I8 is the red shadow and then I used K5,K6 and K8. My liner is Jordana Fabuliner and mascara is Stila Major Lash. I did not write down what I used on my cheeks and lips because I was not going to even post this look because it looks the same as a few days ago. Anyway, looking at the pictures I realize I am being hard on myself and that this actually looks nice. Go figure LOL

I am doing a 7 day challenge. I am only going to use my Coastal Scents 88 Palette for the next week!! I love this palette and really do not use it enough!!

 I normally do not wear
taupe, tans or blacks so I wanted to give them another chance. I am pretty happy with this look and so far
everyone seems to think I should do these type of colors more often. What do you think??

mascara is Stila Major Lash on the top and Blinc on the bottom lashes.

My foundation is Maybelline Dream Mousse Matte in Nude #4, blush is a tester

November Birchbox

My November Birchbox arrived last week but I am a bit behind so sorry for the delay in posting. If you signed up for Birchbox using my affiliate link then THANK YOU!!! If you are wondering what a Birchbox is you can check out my post from last month here or you can check out the Birchbox website .
Here is everything I got. The coasters are not pictured because I used them and lost them already! Thank you kids!!!

BORGHESE Fango Active Mud Face & Body

Tuscany’s soothing green mud is famous for its deep cleaning powers. It rids skin of impurities, while a dose of avocado and sweet almond oils restore hydration and softness. Best of all, it’s moist, not sticky, and it doesn’t dry out your skin.
17.6 oz for $64
I really liked this mud mask. It has a slight tingling sensation and looked really scary on. It made my face
feel smooth and moisturized afterward. Sadly it is way out of my price range but I probably would
purchase it if I had enough Birchbox points to get a nice discount.

LaROCCA Champagne and  Shimmer Supreme Creme

Talk about the crème de le crème — this rich body butter is made with 24-karat colloidal gold to help stimulate cell renewal. Precious metals aside, it softens our skin with a blend of plant oils and the lush, mousse-like texture is a dream.

How it Works

Mega moisturizers like shea, murumuru, and olive butters work to provide long-lasting hydration. Jojoba and cranberry extracts deliver an antioxidant boost, and flecks of golden shimmer give skin a subtle glow.
6.76 oz for $35
I actually did not try this product. Most of my friends who got this in their box said it was sticky and greasy which I hate. I just put this away to use for the gift bags.

Zoya Gems & Jewels Collection

 $8.00 for a 0.50 fl bottle
I hate this color. It figures they would send the color I dislike. I also have like 4 bottles of the same color polish made by different brands that I never wear and loathe so this one also went to the gift bags. I have heard good things about Zoya polish and I most likely will order some other colors to try out.

I got this awesome bracelet in my box as a prize for referring friends.
It is really cute. I wore it once already with another beaded bracelet.
I can't seem to find this on the site though.

Atelier Cologne Vanille Insensee Cologne Absolue

Unlike most vanilla scents, this highly concentrated blend of jasmine, vanilla, and lime is fresh, not sweet. Happily, the long-lasting fragrance lasts all day — we’re smitten and you will be too.  Romantic and sumptuous, this scent is a worthy addition to any fragrance collection. Top notes of bright lime and coriander mingle with middle notes of jasmine and oak moss. Madagascar vanilla and amber notes anchor the scent.

200 ml for $170.00

I really like this perfume. I think it smelled good. Some of my friends thought it smelled manly but it was nice to me. It is a bit expensive but if I had enough Birchbox points I would likely buy it.
