Bridal Makeup!

             I recently did the makeup for a friends wedding and wanted to share some of the pictures with you all.  I have been dabbling in doing makeup on others. My neighbor and her friends have been my guinea pigs on quite a few occasions and I feel like I am pretty good at it so I am going to pursue freelance makeup artistry. Right now I am in the beginning stage, basically assembling a kit and hopefully soon I can start working on more people. When the offer to do wedding makeup came up I will admit I was nervous. The bride, Michelle came over and we did a test look ( the look above) which she loved but decided she did not want any shimmer/sparkle in the wedding day look. After the test look I felt a lot more confident and was really excited to do the wedding day look

         Here is the finished wedding day look minus the lipstick. I ended up using MAC Foundation, MAC Pink Swoon blush, some MAC Bronzer and the eyes are all Coastal Scents 88 Matte Palette. Coastal Scents Shimmer Palette + Ben Nye

                      I did a super neutral quick look using some of the tans and flesh colors in my new Coastal Scents 88 Shimmer palette. I did not take any close up of my eyes because this look was really ALL about the lips. I used Ben Nye lipcolor in Poppy. I am in LOVE with Ben Nye lipsticks. They are so creamy and have some awesome staying power!! I get a lot of positive feedback when I do these neutral eyes/bold lips looks so I have been trying to incorporate more of them into my routine. What do you think??

A bit much just for a trip to Target........

                Well I have never been known for being subtle that is for sure. I had to run to Target so I decided to make myself look like a nut. There should be a "People of Target" website. I would be on it at least once a week LOL.  I was wearing a leopard print shirt so I thought I would match it to my makeup. I used my Coastal Scents 88 Palette. I used A5, B7,J6 and K8

                I also spackled on some gold glitter. My liner is Jordana Fabuliner, Mascara is Stila Major Lash, my foundation is Maybelline Dream Mousse Matte, Blush is Pink Tutu by Flirt and my lips are Tarte LipSurgence in Peaceful

Yet another look using the 88 Palette!!

                      I tried a new technique for apply my eyeshadow. I have always applied from the inside out but my makeup sensei Lisa applied from the outside in. I thought I would give it a whirl. I used K8,E7,D5,D3 and E3.

My liner is Jordana Fabuliner , eyebrows are Revlon Colorstay and my mascara is Stitla Major Lash.

Foundation is Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse in Nude #4, blush is Urban Decay Score and lips are Tarte LipSurgence in Peaceful.

Coastal Scents 88 Palette again!

I used  A5,B2,C5,C8,E8 for this look. My liner is Jordana Fabuliner and my mascara is Stila Major Lash.

I used Urban Decay Score for my blush and my lips are bare!!

Coastal Scents 88 Palette EOTD

I must not have written down what colors I used for this EOTD . It was a really quick look and I am quite pleased with how it came out. If I had to guess the pink is possibly G3, the blue is E7 and the purple is H7??

Coastal Scents 88 Palette One Week Challenge #7

                 For this look I used A5 on the brow bone and I4, I5, J7 and K7. My blush is Urban Decay Score and my lips are Delighted Lipsurgence by Tarte

                 I actually really enjoyed using this palette all week. I still have a few more color combinations I want to do this next week using this palette! You would think I would be sick of using it but I am actually having a hard time doing back to loose pigments. Only because it is so much harder to choose colors to go together and pull everything out. I am dying for the shimmer palette from Coastal Scents and some of the other smaller ones including the blush palette. Ahhhh no buy be over already!!!!!!

Coastal Scents 88 Palette One Week Challenge Look #5

               For this look I used A5 all over my brow bone and underneath my brow. I did this so blended the top edge of the purple would be easier. I also used H1 on the inner tear duct area and blended it inward. The I used G6, F8 which turned out to be too bluish so I added some H8 also. I used G3 to blend out the top edge of the purple.

                   My liner is Jordana Fabuliner and my mascara is Stila Major Lash. I used Revlon Colorstay eyeliner on my eyebrows.

 

Coastal Scents 88 Palette 1 week challenge! #4

                       This look is so full of fail. As I was applying it I quickly realized it was almost identical the look I did a couple days ago. Then when I was putting my eyeliner on I hit my eyelid and left a nice black mark. I will admit I was so frustrated I started crying ( I was already annoyed because nothing I have to wear fits right. I have lost quite a bit of weight and everything looks frumpy now). So I had to add a bunch more black to this look which I did not want to do. I ended using A5 on my brow bone and just under my eyebrow. I8 is the red shadow and then I used K5,K6 and K8. My liner is Jordana Fabuliner and mascara is Stila Major Lash. I did not write down what I used on my cheeks and lips because I was not going to even post this look because it looks the same as a few days ago. Anyway, looking at the pictures I realize I am being hard on myself and that this actually looks nice. Go figure LOL

 For this look I used A5 again on the brow bone and under the eyebrow to make blending the other colors easier. I then used E7, E8 on my lid and G7 to blend out the top edge. I also added some loose glitter to finish off the look. My foundation is Maybelline Dream Mousse Matte in Nude #4. My blush is Score by Urban Decay and my lips are Peaceful by Tarte. My eyeliner is Jordana Fabuliner and my mascara is Stila Major Lash.
