Clinique Chubby Stick in Heaping Hazlenut

I have been lemming over these Clinique Chubby Sticks after seeing them in Glamour magazine months ago. I was not aware that Ulta carried Clinique but when I was checking out last week I seen a sign for these and that they were only $17. Only $17, man I have come a long way. There was a day where I felt anything over $3 was overpriced for makeup. Anyway, I decided to try one. They have a nice array of colors and of course guess which color I pick. NUDE!! My husband gets so frustrated when I show him a new lip product, tell him how much it cost and then show him it applied because to him it looks like plain lips. I can't expect him to understand. I am truly addicted to nude lips!! Have been for years and it does not appear the addiction will be cured anytime soon!

Chubby Sticks come in 16 colors. Here is the description from the Clinique website.
Super-nourishing balm is loaded with mango and shea butters. Just what dry, delicate lips need to feel comfortably soft and smooth. Sixteen natural-looking lip tints in all, each with a subtle sheen.

I found the Chubby Stick to be super moisturizing and it felt very nice on the lips. Really smooth, almost like a gel formula. The feeling of it on my lips reminded me a bit of the Maybelline Color Whispers but the moisturizing aspect reminded me of a Tarte Lipsurgence.
The one thing I did not care for was the fragrance/flavoring of the Chubby stick, It basically had none and the only fragrance/flavoring I got was sort that of a really plain lip balm.
I found the color "Heaping Hazlenut" to be a gorgeous nude color. It basically is a really light "my lips but better" color.
Overall I liked Clinique Chubby Stick. I wish they had a bit of flavor or fragrance but otherwise the formula was fantastic. It moisturized my lips and came them a perfect nude sheen!

Have you tried Clinique Chubby Stick? If so what did you think?

Maybelline Color Whisper in Lust For Blush

Okay the final verdict is in. I LOVE THESE LIPPIES!! I bought Maybelline Color Whisper in Go Nude a few weeks ago and really liked the color, texture and formula. You can see my full review here .
I love coupons and I love that Target lets you stack coupons! I used 2 different coupons and ended up only paying $2.50 for this! Score!! I am going to have find more coupons because I have intentions of buying every single shade they make. I am addicted.

Once again, the formula is PERFECT. It is so lightweight and as weird as it sounds, it feels GOOD on your lips. It makes rubbing your lips together an enjoyable experience. Good golly, that sounded bad but I am serious. I love how subtle the color is too. This one is pinker than Go Nude but still lends itself to the nude family in my opinion.

Have you tried Maybelline Color Whisper? If so, what is your favorite shade? I swear, I need them all.

Tarte 24/7 Natural Lip Sheer

What is it? Tarte 24/7 Natural Lip Sheer in Summer Fling.

How much is it?  $10.00  ( I got this from a friend, I traded a custom sewn item for it)

Where to buy it? Tarte, Sephora, Ulta

What is it supposed to do? Text from the product listing on the Tarte website-

"All the lasting power of a lipstick--with the moisturizing, high-sheen properties of a lip gloss! These budgeproof, moisturizing lip sheers with added SPF 15 give a "your lips, but better" effect that makes them perfect for when you want a kiss of color without looking overdone."

What does it ACTUALLY do? This lip balm is very moisturizing and it did give me a "My lips but better effect" but the formula was very thick and tasted bad.

Overall thoughts?  I really loved the color of this lipbalm but the thickness of the formula paired with the taste totally turned me off. When you first apply it, it is very thick and pasty. I am not sure what the flavor is that turns me off but it is quite strong. I do put it on when my lips are really dry because it does moisturize them quite quickly but I would not buy this lip balm again.

Sleek Pout Polish

The girls in a makeup group I am usually do Sleek orders together to save in shipping. However, I am always broke when they order but I was able to pick up a new Pout Polish in one of their destashing sale. Two things you will notice, I buy the same color lippie over and over again just in different forms, sometimes gloss, sometimes lipstick, sometimes lip balm etc. You get the point. Second thing is I love buying in destashing sales and lucky for me I have a lot of makeup friends who like to destash!!
I nabbed this beauty for only a few dollars. I meant to take a picture before I deflowered this with my finger but I forgot. Poo on me. Pout Polish is a tinted gloss that doubles are a nourishing lip balm and is enriched with jojoba, avocado, and sweet almond oil as well as SPF15. Good stuff my friends! I really love this stuff. I keep it on top of my vanity and use it daily. Pout Polish is $6.50 and comes in quite a few shades BUT Sleek is a United Kingdom based company so shipping can be pricey. They do offer free shipping codes every now and again so keep your eyes peeled!!

Have you tried Pout Polish? What about other Sleek products? If so what did you think and what are your favorite Sleek products?

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter

Revlon Lip Butters have been the talk of the beauty world for a couple months now.  I like to wait until the hype dies down a bit before I try a product. I am kidding, I was just too cheap to buy one of these until now. I have no problem spending on a good quality product but $6.50 for a drug store glorified lip balm seemed like a bit much to me. I found these on sale at Walgreens. I bought one for me and one for a friend. In the end I spent around $3.50 each. Not too bad.
             The Revlon website says ,
  Buttery Balm + Shiny Color
- Buttery balm with beautiful shiny color to give you baby soft, healthy glowing lips 94% of women felt lips were softer, smoother, and instantly hydrated.

Hydrating mango, shea and coconut butter formula boosts lip moisture by 156%
- Pampering gel formula provides super charged hydration and glides on lips buttery smooth
- Sheer to medium colour with buttery shine
- Available in 20 luscious shades

I am a huge lover of a nude lip so I went with Creamsicle. The formula is very nice and smooth. It does make your lips feel really soft BUT it wears off FAST. I brought it with me to Disneyland and I was applying it at least every half hour. It just soaked into my lips and was GONE. I twisted it up too far and it broke while in the line for Pirates of the Caribbean. Whoops!!It also did not apply very evenly in color on my lips. It is a bit streaky. I do like the color though.

My overall thoughts are that this colored lip balm is not worth the $6.50 price tag. I would stick with chapstick and save my $6.50 for a few weeks and buy a MAC lipstick or a Tarte LipSurgence. The $3.50 I paid for this seems fair enough though. I have seen some lip swatches of the other shades and they looked gorgeous. I am sad this lippie did not live up to the hype.  Have you tried this product?? If so, what did you think?

Korres Mango Lip Butter

On the advice of a beauty buddy I recently picked up some
Lip Butter by Korres. I chose Mango because I am loving
the whole peach/orange lip trend.
This was considered a pretty big splurge as it was $12
which is pricey for lip balm.
Information from Sephora product listing

Korres Lip Butter gives lips a lovely, shiny finish and offers a natural flush

when applied to the apples of the cheeks. Its shea-butter infusion conditions

and heals lips and provides a softening touch to the skin.

Overall I really like this lip balm. It has a great
formula that is not too greasy or sticky and
seems to be extra moisturizing while leaving a hint
of color.
Thumbs up!!
Have you tried Korres Lip Butter?
If so what "flavor" is your favorite?
