Ulta Haul!!

I recently made a trip to Ulta. I went just to get the 3 pack of Tarte

Lipsurgence but of course I got sucked into buying more!!

I got most of this haul free in that bag on the right.

If you spent over $17.50 on Ulta products you had a choice of 3

color themed bags filled with product.

Total for everything pictured was $56.55

Ulta Diva glitter polish ( this came in the free gift bag)

This polish is my favorite glitter polish!

I seen it and spazzed out. I had to have it.

So far I have worn it on bare nails and over a white base coat.

Both times it looked awesome!

This is a nice nude but a bit too light.

I paid $2.48 for both of these lipsticks.

The other items pictured I have not had a chance to use yet,

except for the Ulta Lash Blow Out. The actual mascara is nice

but the brush is STUPID. It is one of those little round ball ones.

I hate it!!!

Small Ulta Trip

I made a quick trip to Ulta.

I decided that the Super Fat Marker from NYX wasn't for me.

It started drying out and I couldn't get the outer wing of my

eyeliner straight or crisp because the tip seemed to fray a bit..

I exchanged that and the Snowflake Shimmer Ulta lipstick.

Ulta finally had the NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk in stock!!

I melted and potted mine months ago and I HATE IT!!

When potted the pencil seems to get thicker and is

harder to spread on the eyelid. Yuck.

I got the Super Skinny Marker instead.

So far I like it. I am having MUCH better luck with the

pen style eyeliners but I imagine this one will dry out

and the tip will become frayed like all the others have.

I also exchanged Ulta Snowflake Shimmer for Sheer Shimmer

 This color is more what I was looking for 

except I still would prefer a whiter based pink.

LipSurgence. I tested all of them on my hand and

decided on Peaceful.

 I personally LOVE Tarte LipSurgence products.

I prefer the crayon style for lip products because they are easy to apply.

The flavor is great and the the lip color is very smooth.

 Swatched on my arm I thought this was the most perfect peachy nude ever.

 Lips not so much.

My natural lip color seems to make this 

LipSurgence almost invisible. It does still give me a hint of color

which is great.

Ulta Haul!

I took a trip to Ulta to get some mascara that was on clearance

( which I forgot to even look for)

and ended up getting a few things!

I paid $17.92 for all of this!
I had a $3.50 off coupon and I accumulated enough
bonus points to get an additional $4.00 OFF.
Can we say, YAY!!!

 

I have been wanting to try a liquid glitter liner and NYX
was buy 2 get one free so I grabbed this!
Retail price is $4.49

 I tried taking an eye pic using this liner but I couldn't get the glitter to
photograph right so you get a swatch instead!

 I like this so far. I am addicted to the black eyeliner so using this makes me feel nude.
I am going to play with it some more.
One swipe will give you a nice solid line of glitter which is nice.

Now this is what I am VERY excited about!!
I wanted a hot pink lip gloss so I grabbed this thinking it was a gloss.
It is actually a lip cream which is similar to OCC Lip Tars

I am LOVING THIS STUFF!!
I didn't take any pictures of the bottle or applicator because I am saving that
for a post which I will compare this and OCC Lip Tar.
At this point I like this stuff better for numerous reasons!

 I swatched this one on my hand and liked it but now I think it is too white for me.
I was looking for more of a white iridescent pink.

I swatched this on my lips and it looked HORRIBLE.
My lips are pretty dry and chapped from that damn Smooth Away.
I will give this another try soon.

I have seen so many gorgeous girls rocking the orange lipstick lately
so I had to get my own.

 I really like Ulta lipstick. It has a really nice glide and seems to stay really well.
I am not a huge lip product person but overall it seems to be a good deal.

This is a pretty orange, I like it but I think I want a lighter matte orange too.

Ulta FINALLY had the NYX Super Fat Marker in stock!!

 If you follow this blog you know I have been having issues with my liquid liner.

I have tried a few different products and it is always the same. I get crooked messy lines.

I have ruined SO many looks!!

 I have also had BAD luck with eyeliner markers. They ALWAYS dry out.
This is retails for $9.99 and also comes in a skinny version.

 It draws a nice thick clean line. Did it fix my eyeliner issue?
Not completely but it did improve things. It does go on much smoother than
liquid liner with a skinny brush. We will see how it works in a few weeks.

So finally I had a good Ulta trip!!
They are usually out of everything I want.
I am compiling a list of other lip colors I want as well as that mascara!
I think a Mother' Day trip is in order!!!

Ulta, Target and Ebay haul!

I have been shopping like an insane woman lately.

I went to Ulta and Target on Tuesday and then on 

Wednesday I got my stuff from Joys Cosmetics on Ebay.

Here is my haul!!

 My Target Haul

 This was a small haul because I broke the BANK the Sunday before shopping online.

The e.l.f brush was a new one I had never seen at Target so I grabbed it.

It is a contour brush but it is bigger than I thought it was. I paid $3

I also decided to give false eyelashes another try.

I have bought and ruined at least 10 pairs in the last few years. 

I just can't seem to get them on right. It is a mess!!

Someone in my makeup group suggested half lashes so I got some and the adhesive.

I tried applying them after my makeup was done and failed

 I just couldn't get the lashes in the right spot or the edges glued down.

I ripped them off and planned on throwing them away but

the next day I was naked face and bored so I tried again.

SUCCESS!!!

 Applying them before I have any makeup on seems to be the only way I will be able to do it!

This Wet N' Wild palette caught my eye. It was $3.99 which is totally affordable.

Overall it is a nice palette.

I am not crazy about how I applied it but the colors are bold and pretty.

My little Ulta haul

 I returned that dry eyeliner and gross moisturizer and got this stuff!!

 This was my splurge.

I have been eyeballing the lip lustre by Tarte for weeks now

but  couldn't bring myself to spend $24 on a lip product.

Since I had store credit it made me feel like I wasn't spending $24 on one lip crayon ;0)

I swatched all the colors at Ulta and decided on Adored.

This stuff is AMAZING!! It is so glittery and pretty!!

I definitely will be buying more colors.

The crayon is a very decent size and it will last quite awhile.

I highly recommend this product!!

I also got 2 Ulta eyeshadow crayons to use as bases under my pigments.

I have seen people use colored bases quite a bit lately and it really helps the with color intensity.

I did not swatch the green crayon because I am going to return it.

I forgot that I ordered a NYX Jumbo eye pencil in green already.

I paid about $14 shipped for this all.

I switched the labels on Hera and Narcisse by accident.
