Adore Me - Review

This review is a bit late and for that I apologize. The holidays literally kicked my butt. I have been so busy and stressed out. I never miss a day posting here and I missed quite a bit in the last 2 weeks. But thankfully the holidays are over. I hope next year to work on my time management and to slow down!! But anyway, back to the review. As you know from my original post here I was contacted by Adore Me. If you are not familiar with Adore Me, here is some information.

Adore Me is a new trendy lingerie club that offers a unique personalized shopping experience.
Everything begins with a short quiz that allows professional stylists, to hand-picked each month for you a new selection of lingerie. You get access to your personalized showroom for Free! If you decide to buy, price is a steal! $39.95 per matching set with free delivery and free exchange! Here are some Featured Products of the current collection :)
Additionally to this monthly selection, you will also be able to slip into the showroom of your friends, and shop from there. If  you don’t feel like buying anything this month, no worry, you can just skip this month and the following ones. Adore Me wants to be a club without obligations. Malls and department stores can be so stressful, embarrassing and not very helpful when it is question of intimate apparel. At Adore Me.com, they have knowledgeable Stylists that can help you with any questions you may have about fitting, and you will not even have to stand in line, feel guilty or be elbowed by angry customers. Adore Me wants your shopping experience to be equally as wonderful as their lingerie.
See your personalized selection for free and start the Quiz. You can also like their Facebook page.

I will admit that I was quite skeptical about this company and this proposition. The deal was set up where I would  post an introduction to Adore Me, they would send me a product to review , I would blog that and after that a giveaway would be posted for my followers. I posted the introduction on the 18th and did not receive my code until the 29th. After I got the code I thought about it and figured that when I signed up for an account with Adore Me that I would have to join the monthly club in order to get my "free" item to review. So I signed up and went to check out and my code did not work. I emailed Adore Me and they said the code was fine. Tried to checkout for the 5th time and it worked. I was VERY pleasantly surprised to see that I did not have to sign up for the monthly club nor did I have to enter any payment information at all.

After signing up for an account I was able to view my "showroom", I had many different lingerie items to choose from varying from lingerie, hosiery and bra and panty sets. Upon signing up I took a style quiz and I will say that they set up my showroom with many items that fit my style perfectly.  To my husbands dislike, I choose a practical bra and panty set. My package arrived very quickly. It came to me in a soft polymailer and inside was a large box. The box was a bit smashed but everything inside was fine. The packaging was very nice, clean and pretty.
Here is the set I got. I bought the bra a bit smaller than I normally wear because I was losing weight at a rapid rate. I normally am a 36D so I bought a 34 D because they did not have this set in a 36.  Unfortunately for me the holidays hit and I did not lose any more weight so the bra is a bit small in circumference for me still but the cups fit nicely. I am back on my exercise/diet regimen and it should fit perfectly within a couple weeks. The bra and panty  both seem to made very nicely. I am quite hard on my bras so I will update after a month or so of wear and let you know how it is holding up! Adore Me does offer a free exchange if you are not happy with your item but I am just going to keep this set because I really love it!!

My overall opinion on Adore Me is a good one. The whole concept seems pretty neat especially if you are a lingerie/intimates lover. The price tag of $39.95 is a bit steep for the average person in my opinion but like I said, if lingerie is your thing it is not a huge price tag monthly. The website was very easy to navigate, customer service was great, super quick shipping time, packaging was nice and the product seems to be a nice quality and super adorable. I hope to have the giveaway ready soon for you all!! Head on over to Adore Me and check it out!! If you do end up signing up please use my referral linkhttp://www.adoreme.com/  !  Have you tried Adore Me? If so, what did you think?

Thanks for reading,

  1. Did the mailer have any indication that the package was from a lingerie company?

Also, 36D and 34D aren't related in cup size, so if the 34D's cup fit you perfectly (as in, no quadraboob, gore is flat on your chest, and the underwire is not on laying on top of your boob), then you might actually be a 36C, since it is a sister size to the 34D.

  2. Buyer BEWARE! This company is a huge disappointment.

I purchased the Groupon deal in Dec. and immediately placed my order. Upon my initial visit to their website, I was impressed with the selection they had to offer and intended on shopping from their site regularly.

At any rate, I received everything as ordered several weeks later. To my dismay, the items did not fit. I immediately returned the items, UNWORN. After a couple weeks, I contacted them (terrible hold time) to find that they had not been received and I would be contacted once they were received in the warehouse. A week passed and I still had not heard from them so I called again last Friday and was told that these UNWORN items did not "pass inspection." The agent could not tell me what that meant and advised she would call me back. She did call me back the same day to give me a tracking number. I asked why she was giving me a tracking number and she DID NOT KNOW! She placed me on an extensive hold just to tell me that she would have to call me back again. I did not hear from her on Friday or Monday so I contacted them today. I was informed that my return had not passed inspection?!?! Again, these items were returned within days of receiving them and were unworn! I did try the bras on, but once they did not fit, I returned them. After speaking with several customer service representatives, they refuse to even credit the $120.00. I am contacting the legal department in NY and will be sending the items to them for re-inspection (if I ever receive them back...). In addition, when I asked for the contact information of the Legal Department, they only wanted to give me an email address of gary@adoreme.com, SERIOUSLY....this is your legal department?!?!

This "company" has not heard the last of me, this is a matter of principle now. I will post on every review site I can find and pursue your legal department with vigor. This is unacceptable and there are too many variables in your "inspection" process to hold the customer at fault.

For those of you who would like to join in, here's their Legal Department's mailing address:

    485 7th Ave.
    New York, NY 10018

or I guess you could email Gary (gary@adoreme.com)

It is my hope that someone in this company appreciates the benefits of customer retention and corrects the situation.

    1. I also purchased a Groupon for this site and placed my order on Jan 2nd. By Jan. 12th, the order still showed as "processing" on their website. I tried calling - sat on hold for 15 minutes and hung up. Sent an email through customer service and got the following response: "Unfortunately, there will be a slight delay in the shipment of your package due to an unexpected high volume of orders. Your Brena set will simply be shipped out next week. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding." Fast forward to Jan. 22nd...the order still showed as "processing". Another email was responded to with: "Thank you for sending us this information regarding your recent Adore Me order. I am so sorry to hear that your order is still processing, this is completely unacceptable and I hope to get to the bottom of the issue as soon as possible. I will be starting an investigation with our warehouse directly and hopefully be able to get back to you with a confirmation of this information without further delay. Please let me know if there is anything else that I can do for you at this time." January 28th...still the same. Email response this time was: "Thank you for seeking more information about your order. We just replenished our stock and hopefully we'll be able to send the package by the end of the week. Kindly note that due to a high volume of sales our warehouse has a slightly delay. However, we have more employees in the warehouse working overnight to ensure that all orders are processed as quickly as possible. We apologize once again for any inconvenience this may have caused you!" The next day, I was surprised to receive this email: "The warehouse has just confirmed the issue that occurred with your order and have actively been addressing possible solutions. Unfortunately, we experienced this issue due to our regular server updates that allow us to keep on top of the growing number of customers. This issue allowed you to place an order for the Brenna DD+ set even though it was already sold out in this size. I apologize for the inconvenience and I look forward to having a little talk with our developers because this type of issue is just not acceptable. Also, I am happy to provide you with this new voucher that will allow you to redeem the product of your choice from our website. Voucher code: **********. I will also be happy to credit your account with a $10 store credit in an effort to express our gratitude for your patience and understanding." So, I thought, you know - i understand they maybe had an increase in volume because of the Groupon special, and I really appreciated their offer of a "voucher" and a "store credit". But, get this: I place an order on Feb. 2nd, and checked status today. Surprise, surprise - "processing". I called, sat on hold for 24 minutes and then the line went dead. I have submitted an email, yet again, but this time requesting a refund to my credit card for any and all monthly "membership fees" they made me agree to just to place the damn order in the first place and any other charges to my credit card. I also let them know I was submitted reviews on websites like this and that I would be requesting a credit from Groupon due to AdoreMe's complete lack of professionalism and, what I perceive as, deceptive trade practice. I will post an update when (if) I hear back from "customer service".

  3. Extremely sketchy. They offer a Groupon only for new members because they know that these people won't be familiar with the scam they are running. You make your purchase and are forced to sign up for the membership, and it is unclear exactly what they mean by the membership.

What their membership entails is them charging your account monthly for the price of a set (they claim there are $10 sets and there are not) and they absolutely refuse to refund the money on these unless you immediately discover what they are up to.

In my case, my boyfriend made the purchase and so was unaware/didn't notice the charges for 3 months. I had called and unsubscribed from their "service" the DAY I made the order, and so should not have been up for multiple monthly charges. When I called I waited an hour before speaking to a representative, who informed me that they had no record of me unsubscribing, and also because I did not remember the name of the person who I spoke to in January (this is April) they did not believe I had actually unsubscribed and would not refund me the 100+ dollars that they have charged to my account.

Rather than refund me the money, she has suggested I simply purchase something and return it to get my money back, minus restocking. WHAT?

Both representatives were rude and unknowledgeable and the first time I called to cancel, the prices listed on the website were incorrect and inconsistent with advertised. She assured me they would be correct on my statement, but I don't like to "check out" with my card for 200+ more than the price is supposed to be, given their specials.

Will not purchase from them again, reported them to Groupon, and will continue to tell others, this is unacceptable.

  4. I have had an awful shopping experience with this company. I too bought the Groupon voucher, but decided not to join the Adore Me VIP club and pay $49.95 per set instead of the $39.95 charged to VIP members. My groupon was for $60 and the remaining $40 for the two sets I ordered was taken immediately from my credit card. Over three weeks later one of the sets I ordered arrived, but it was too small, so I organised a return. I have had emails stating 'due to overwhelming demand there would be a delay' on the second set I ordered. Then I get told the second set is no longer available, and yet, I've been charged for it and have a tracking number. Many, many emails later to the 'customer service' department shows that the second set was never in stock and I should never have been charged for it. The set I returned had apparently still not been received at the warehouse. Many more emails later, I finally get the refund to my credit card and they miraculously find the set I returned to the warehouse over six weeks before. It is now April, (the original order was late January), and I have just ordered a replacement for the set I returned. Today, I have received an email 'due to overwhelming demand there will be a delay'. Who knows if the set I ordered will arrive. I no longer care and will write off the original $30 I paid for the Groupon voucher if it doesn't as I don't have the patience to deal with sorting this all out.
I will never order from Adore me again and would advise people to stay well clear of this company.

  6. If you look hard enough, you can find any of the stuff they sell for much cheaper than their "retail" price. I even saw some of their products on AMAZON for a fraction of the price. Their quality is the same as well. When you purchase some of their Adoreme "boutique quality" products, you can easily find where the original company's label was cut off and their Adoreme label was sloppily sewn on. Their customer service constantly gives you the roundabout if you have a problem. They didn't used to be like this, back when they were smaller, the customer service would bend over backwards to help. Now, the bored operators give you answers like, "Please wait two weeks to a month for our email on how to fix your problem." Are you kidding me? The quality went down but I was staying for the loyalty program and the customer service. This is an official breakup, AdoreMe. It's you, not me; you've changed.

  7. This is absolutely the worst company I've had to deal with. Apparently your personal information (addresses, email addresses, credit card info) can "never be deleted from their system." They said they have to keep all information in case they have to look something up in the future. That sounds safe and reliable and comforting. They forever have all of your information, won't delete it, and they will charge your card by "emailing you a notification" only after they've charged your card.
