I used Loreal hair dye from Sally Beauty Supply.
I believe it was called True Red.
Anyhow, it was specifically for dark hair.
I like it but it still isn't red enough for my taste.
I think I am going to have to bleach it all and
do a bright red .
What do you think?

ReplyDeleteLOVE IT! I had the same color in the name "Red" on mine. I then wanted to bleach it which didn't work so well mainly b/c I had the wrong bleach & wrong developer. I went to Sally's to get the CORRECT stuff and the sales lady said I didn't need the purple stuff to bleach my hair. She sold me the white stuff again which made my hair yellow blonde. Apply red to that and it looks like LeeLoo Dallas. I'm trying to strip that out and I plan to go back dark then put the red back over it.

ReplyDeleteI dyed my hair this colour awhile ago and I agree, it wasn't quite red enough! It also faded to a brownish colour that I didn't like. Anyway, it looks really pretty in the sunlight!
