To be honest I own the same white crackle and it didn't work that well for me either. I love all of the other China Glaze crackles I own but the white just.. doesn't work as well. I don't know how to explain it!
I've noticed you have to make the layer as thin as you possibly can. The thicker the layer the more the crackle streaks. I had to use my black on probably 5 times before I got the hang of it.
I think the white crackle looks a little odd. I've been wanting to try the crackle thing, but haven't been able to get a bottle...then again i'm not looking very hard either >.>
