After doing the rainbow eye tutorial and then failing twice at my makeup I
decided to just keep it simple.
I recently added the poll to the side bar asking if edited
pictures bother you on beauty blogs.
I asked this because I was called out for editing my eye color.
I have never claimed that the glowing eye was my real color and I never thought it
bothered anyone. I personally think it looks cool.
I also have always tried to post at least one unedited eye picture when I post looks.
That being said, the above is unedited completely.
Below I edited the eye color and adjusted the color.

ReplyDeletePersonally, I love looking at your makeup, however- the edited eye color throws me off. I find it hard to focus on the look. I just wanna look at the eyeball instead of eyelid. lol
ReplyDeleteI don't really have any issues, as long as the products you're reviewing are accurately being represented. As a photographer, I knew the eyes were photoshopped. I find it somewhat distracting, but it's not a dealbreaker for me. But if it's become such an issue, maybe take it down 50%. Still give your eyes some depth, without it being the focus of your photos. After all your blog is about beauty products, not eye colors. I think in the grand scheme if things, it's silly to be called out for this.
