Moi Minerals - Get The Look

Here is what you will need to achieve this look. 
1. Yellow eyeshadow or pigment. I used Goldenrod by Moi Minerals
2. Bright green/chartreuse eyeshadow or pigment. I used Snap by Moi Minerals
3. Aqua or Teal eyeshadow or pigment. I used Aqua Nights by Moi Minerals
4. Pink eyeshadow or pigment. I used Hi Five by Moi Minerals
5. Primer and base to make the eyeshadow last and pop. I used Too Faced Shadow Insurance and NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk.
6. Eyeshadow Brush and a Fluffy Brush for blending. I use the $1 e.l.f brushes and either the M.A.c #222 brush or the Studio Tools Crease Brush from Target.
7. Black liquid eyeliner ( optional)

1. Start off by priming your eye and adding your base in the desired shape of your finished look.

2. Take Goldenrod ( yellow) and apply it just to your eyelid in the area shown above using your eyeshadow brush

3. Take Snap ( green) and apply it just above Goldenrod slightly overlapping right up to your crease.

4.Take Aqua Nights ( teal or aqua) and apply it into the crease slightly overlapping Snap.

5.Grab your fluffy blending brush and get Goldrenrod and reapply it to the same area slightly overlapping into Snap again to blend the two colors together.

6. Using the same fluffy brush apply Snap to the same area again slightly overlapping into Aqua Nights.

 7. Get a very light amount of Aqua Nights and apply to the same area and lightly apply and blend.

8. Grab Hi Five (pink) and put a very small amount on your fluffy brush and of apply to the top edge of Aqua Nights and heavily blend by going over with your fluffy brush. It should fade from a purple toned color to a very light pink of blended enough.

        Your finished eye should look something like this! Add liquid liner ( if desired), I used Jordana Fabuliner eyeliner marker and mascara.  I hope this simple tutorial helped!! If you try this look out please send me a finished pic or link me to it! I would love to see!!!

Get The Look - Moi Minerals

                   I just got my model package from Moi Minerals. Inside was "Snap", a most awesome green. I had to use it right away. The look came out cool so I decided I must do a "Get The Look" for it!

Here is what you will need to achieve this look.

Bright green pigment or eye shadow. ( I used Snap by Moi Minerals)

Dark Purple pigment or eyeshadow. ( I used Pluto by Moi Minerals)

Dark or Hot Pink pigment or eyeshadow ( I used Pink Stelletios by Moi Minerals)

Primer and Base.

Eyeshadow brush and a fluffy blending brush. ( I used elf $1 eyeshadow brush and MAC #222)

Small eyeliner brush.

Optional - Green and Purple eyeliner

1. Start off by priming your eye and adding your base in the desired shape of your finished look. I used UDPP and NYX jumbo pencil in Milk.

2. Take Snap ( green) and apply it just to your eyelid, right to the crease with your eyeshadow brush.

3. Take Pluto ( purple) and apply it into your crease and a little bit above the crease.

4. Grab your fluffy blending brush and get a little bit of Snap (green) and go over your lid and up into the crease slightly to blend the line between the green and purple.

5. Do the same thing with Pluto ( purple) until your green and purple are blended to your liking. 

6. Using your fluffy blending brush grab Pink Stelletios ( dark or hot pink) and lightly apply it right to the top edge of Pluto ( purple). Blend this heavily.

7. Apply Snap ( green) to the lower eyelid from the inner to the middle of the eye. I applied over a base of green eyeliner but you could skip this and just apply yours wet by lightly dampening your brush.

8. Apply Pluto to the lower eye from the middle to the outer edge. Slightly overlap into Snap to blend the two together. 

9.  Lastly apply Pink Stelletios over Pluto so that it mimics the top edge of your upper eye.

        Your finished eye should look something like this! Add liquid liner ( if desired), I used Jordana Fabuliner eyeliner marker and mascara.

Get The Look - Rainbow Eye using Moi Minerals

      I have been experimenting with rainbow eyelooks for a few weeks now. I wanted to find something that actually looked pretty instead of looking crazy and clownish. I think this look is exactly what I was looking for so I wanted to share it with you all and do a little tutorial on how I acheived it.

What you need:
Small Eyeshadow Brush
Fluffy Blending Brush
Rainbow Color pigments or eye shadows.
Primer and Base ( Urban Decay Primer Potion or elf eyelid primer and NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk.
I used colors from Moi Minerals. Rockstar Red, Sailors Delight, Goldenrod, Monster Mash, Bellflower and Panic.

            First apply your primer and your base. Next using your small shadow brush apply the colors as show in my segmented eye below. Start with red, then orange, next yellow ,followed by green, blue and last purple. Slightly overlap the colors to make blending easier in the next step. Next grab your fluffy brush ( I used MAC #222) and reapply all of the colors slightly overlapping again. Make sure to lightly move your brush across any harsh lines between the colors to blend them. Lastly your fluffy brush to heavily blend the top edge of the purple until you are satisfied. You can add any liner and mascara at this point.

Your finished product should look something like this!

Get The Look - Sunset w/ sky look using Moi Minerals

           I was browsing on a makeup fan page on Facebook and came across a gorgeous look.

  I decided to "dupe" it using Moi Minerals and do a quick photo tutorial for you all!

This look reminds me of a sunset with the blue sky above.

So pretty!!!

Here is what you need to achieve this look.

Moi Minerals Spring ( or an orange/peach pigment)

Moi Minerals Goldenrod ( or a golden yellow pigment)

Moi Minerals Ocean Queen ( or a light blue pigment)

Eyeshadow Brush

Eyeliner Brush

Fluffy Blending Brush

Let's get started!

First prime your eye and add your base.

I've used Urban Decay Primer Potion and NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk.

Using your eyeshadow brush apply Goldenrod to the area labeled above.

It is not a big deal if you apply it into the area where Spring will go but you do not

want to apply it above your crease.

Using the same brush apply Spring to the labeled area above slightly overlapping

into Goldenrod on both sides.

Grab your fluffy brush and apply Goldenrod to the labeled areas again slightly overlapping

into Spring to blend.

Using the same fluffy brush apply Spring to the labeled area slightly overlapping into

Goldenrod on both sides to blend.

Dust off your fluffy brush and grab Ocean Queen. Get a small amount of pigment

on your brush and tap off any excess. The key here is to build the color because we 

do not want it very dark. Apply Ocean Queen to the labeled area above.

When applying use a very light touch and quickly sweep the brush back and forth until

you reach desired opacity and blending.

Add your favorite liner and mascara and you are finished!

Get The Look - Simple Sunset Eye Tutorial using Moi Minerals

I am starting something new here!

Get The Look!

This will be a series of simple quick tutorials

on how to achieve different eye looks.

This simple tutorial is for a

Sunset Eye

To start you will need a fluffy blending brush, an

eyeshadow brush and an eyeliner brush. Mine 

happens to be angled but that is just my preference.

 Next you will need these pigments or similar color substitutes.

Rock Star Red by Moi Minerals ( rusty red)

Calla by Moi Minerals ( peachy orange)

Sailors Delight by Moi Minerals (glitter filled orange)

Prime your eyelid with whatever method you prefer.

I used elf eye primer and then I used NYX Jumbo Pencil

in Milk as a base. I applied it on my lid and then blended the

edges up into the crease.

Excuse the squiggles. I am getting used to using GIMP to segment my eye.

Using your eyeshadow brush apply Calla in the area labeled above.

Using the same brush apply Sailors Delight in the labeled area above.

Lastly, using the same brush apply Rock Star Red in the labeled area above.

Now grab your fluffy blending brush.
We are going to go over the entire eye

again with all the colors and this brush.

Starting with Calla apply it in the labeled area above 

slightly overlapping up into Sailors Delight to blend the line between the two colors.

Next, using the same brush apply Sailors Delight to the labeled area above

slightly overlapping into Rock Star Red.

Using the fluffy brush helps give a softer more air brushed look

and helps to blend the colors together.

Now using the same fluffy brush lightly apply Rock Star Red

into the labeled area and start gently moving the fluffy brush back and forth

along the top edge of Rock Star Red to blend it. You can blend it upwards

if you desire the look to be up above your crease as mine is.

You can go back over the entire eye using all the colors and your fluffy
brush if your color is not bold or blended enough. It is all
up to you and how you want the finished look to be!

Your eye should look something like this
