Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Naked 2

I have seen so many people raving about the new Revolution Lipsticks by Urban Decay lately that I decided to pick one up myself and see what all the hype was about. I picked a super exciting shade..... wait for it.....wait for it..............NUDE!!! Yes, I got Naked 2. I bought it at Ulta and paid $22 which is a bit much for a lipstick and as my husband would say, especially for a lipstick you can't even see lol.
Here is some info from the Urban Decay website about these new lipsticks,
Get the color you crave. Addictive to apply (and even more addictive to wear), this creamy formula glides on without dragging or skipping, hugs every curve and gives you a BIG laydown of color. And with shades that range from gorgeous nudes to bold brights, there’s something for everyone.

Our Pigment Infusion System™ gives Revolution Lipstick its super creamy texture, insane pigmentation, superior color dispersion and extended wear. Maxi-Lip™ defines and hydrates lips while making them look plumper and fuller. And a nourishing blend of jojoba oil, avocado oil, cocoa butter and shea butter keeps lips super moisturized and cushiony soft.

Our luxe, custom-designed gunmetal tube (lined in dark purple) features organically shaped facets that practically beg to be touched. You’ll want to keep pulling it out of your bag—whether it’s time to reapply or not.

This lipstick lived up to it's claims and then some. It applied super smooth and creamy and was very opaque with one coat. The formula made my lips feel moisturized while wearing it. I also found the shade Naked 2 to be a great nude color for my skin tone.

The only negative aspect to this lipstick is the price. It is a bit expensive but I do feel like the quality  makes it worth the price tag. I really like this lipstick and it already has become an everyday favorite. I feel like most of the other shades are out of my comfort zone, you know not nude, so this will probably be my only Revolution lipstick purchase but I am totally happy I picked this up!

Have you tried Urban Decay Revolution Lipsticks? If so, what is your favorite shade?

Clinique Chubby Stick in Heaping Hazlenut

I have been lemming over these Clinique Chubby Sticks after seeing them in Glamour magazine months ago. I was not aware that Ulta carried Clinique but when I was checking out last week I seen a sign for these and that they were only $17. Only $17, man I have come a long way. There was a day where I felt anything over $3 was overpriced for makeup. Anyway, I decided to try one. They have a nice array of colors and of course guess which color I pick. NUDE!! My husband gets so frustrated when I show him a new lip product, tell him how much it cost and then show him it applied because to him it looks like plain lips. I can't expect him to understand. I am truly addicted to nude lips!! Have been for years and it does not appear the addiction will be cured anytime soon!

Chubby Sticks come in 16 colors. Here is the description from the Clinique website.
Super-nourishing balm is loaded with mango and shea butters. Just what dry, delicate lips need to feel comfortably soft and smooth. Sixteen natural-looking lip tints in all, each with a subtle sheen.

I found the Chubby Stick to be super moisturizing and it felt very nice on the lips. Really smooth, almost like a gel formula. The feeling of it on my lips reminded me a bit of the Maybelline Color Whispers but the moisturizing aspect reminded me of a Tarte Lipsurgence.
The one thing I did not care for was the fragrance/flavoring of the Chubby stick, It basically had none and the only fragrance/flavoring I got was sort that of a really plain lip balm.
I found the color "Heaping Hazlenut" to be a gorgeous nude color. It basically is a really light "my lips but better" color.
Overall I liked Clinique Chubby Stick. I wish they had a bit of flavor or fragrance but otherwise the formula was fantastic. It moisturized my lips and came them a perfect nude sheen!

Have you tried Clinique Chubby Stick? If so what did you think?

Quick Step by Step Pictorial

Lately on Instagram teal and brown EOTD's are all over the place. I personally LOVE the combo of teal and brown. So much that my bedroom is done in those colors. I decided to do an EOTD inspired by all the gorgeous looks on Instagram. I changed it up and did a teal and reddish brown. Below is a quick pictorial on how I did this look. In the pics it looks as if it could be blended out a bit more on the top but in person it looked nice.

Step One
Gather your supplies. For this look I used BFTE Tickle Me which is a teal/aqua color, and then yellow, orange, red and purple eye shadows all from Sugarpill. You could cheat and use a brown and purple eye shadow instead.  Prime and add your eye shadow base. I used Too Faced Shadow Insurance and NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk.

Step Two
Using an eyeshadow brush add the teal/aqua to your lid up to the crease.

 Step Three
Grab your yellow, orange and red eye shadows and using a new brush apply them in the crease and slightly above. I used Sugarpill Flamepoint, ButterCupcake and Love+. One color over the other as seen below in the pictures. You can use the same brush for all three colors because you want to mix them in the end. I used a small eye shadow brush for this application

Step Four
Grab a fluffy blending/crease brush and your yellow eye shadow and go over the crease and blend the colors together. Use the yellow to blend out the top edge and side of the eye shadow. Be careful not to blend it into the teal/aqua area. Use as much yellow as you want. The more yellow you use the less red the color is going to look.

 Step Five
Grab your purple eyeshadow and the same blending/crease brush. I used Sugarpill Poison Plum.

Apply the purple directly to the crease to deepen the crease color.

You're Done!

Add liner and mascara if desired!!

MAC RazzleDazzler

Another old limited edition "new to me" lipstick from MAC! I got this in a trade from one of my good friends. I wanted this when it originally came out with the All About Orange collection from MAC. Orange is not really my color so a lot of the things in this collection were pretty "meh" to me but RazzleDazzler looked like a nice peachy neutral to me. So when my friend offered to me in a trade I was super jazzed!!
It is called a pinky coral but on my lips it comes across more of a frosty peach. The finish is a lustre which is not my fave from MAC but overall I really like this color and lipstick so far.
