Pretty Addictions -Shipwrecked in Paradise Collection

I recently won a contest on the Pretty Addictions fan page on Facebook and my prize was a sample size collection of my choice. I chose the Shipwrecked in Paradise collection. My prize arrived super fast and was packaged very well. I have ordered and received prizes from Pretty Addictions numerous times and every time has been perfect and shipped super fast.

Look at how cute the new labels are!

This collection is limited edition. You can get the 6 pigments in 5 gram jars along with a discount code for Jujubeads for $21 or for $35 you get 6 gorgeous pigments in 5 gram jars,  a 3 gram jar of a new bronzer, 3 gram jar of a new blush called, Island Babe plus a piece of jewelry and a discount code to Jujubeads jewelry.
I am in love with Clown Fish Kiss, Mint Spritzer and Tropical Sunset but Mystery Cove and High Tide are also awesome because I do not have any blues like them in my collection. Overall I love all of these colors. I have quite a few Pretty Addictions pigments and this collection is in the same category of quality. They apply smoothly, blend easily and are pretty opaque without a base.

I highly recommend Pretty Addictions. The products are gorgeous, the quality is top notch, the owner is a sweetheart, the pricing is fair and the shipping is lightening quick! Updated Stash and Storage pics!

It has been awhile since I took some stash pictures so I figured I would share. If you have been reading here for awhile you will recognize my vanity. I recently added in the tower of drawers on the right.  I am constantly purging my stash to get rid of things I do not love or use often enough. I like to make room for new things. Doing this does come back to bite me in the butt though, there has been many items I have sold or given away and then regretted it months later so I am trying to hold on to things for awhile longer so I can make sure I REALLY do not want/need them. Some of the furniture and accessories I got from Ikea last year have been discontinued or redesigned but Ikea still has SO many budget friendly things!

Vanity is actually a desk from Ikea. $82 ( I can't find this on the Ikea website at all anymore)
Hanging Mirror is  from Ikea . $9.99 ( is now $14.99)
Chair from Ikea. $9.99 ( redesigned and now is $14.99)
Brush Holder is from Target. $2.50
Tower of multicolored drawers is from Michaels. I paid $28 when it was on sale. Regular price on this is like over $50 which is CRAZY. This tower is not that high in quality but for $28 it is a great buy. This is the same one I have here .
Tumbler and place mat were both from Target and only $1 each.
Teal plastic drawer tower is from Target. $9.99

Top drawer in the teal Sterilte Drawers
Beauty From The Earth  and Pretty Addictions pigments

Middle drawer in the teal Sterilite Drawers
Moi Minerals, Brazen , 8 Bit and other random pigments.
The bottom drawer in this tower is just my husbands chapsticks. I did not
bother taking a pic of that!

These pictures are self explanatory so I am not gonna list what is
in each drawer. If you have a question or want to know what
something is just comment below .

Necessities

Lashes, lashes and more lashes!

This is the " To do" drawer. I keep all the products I need to swatch,
take pics of, review or giveaway in here!

BH Palettes, sorry this pic is blurry.

Lip drawer!!

Palettes, eyeliners and glitters!

 Face drawer!
Blushes, Bronzers, Highlighters and
pressed powders

Drawer in the vanity/desk.
I keep all my daily use products here.
Primers, foundations, mascaras, brow pencils and brow highlighters etc.

Brush organizer!

I have three drawers filled with nail polish.
Yikes!

Organizer I have in the open slot on the desk/vanity.
I keep pens, samples and packaging in here right now.
I tend to reorganize a lot so the contents of this organizer
change quite a bit.

My makeup kit
I compiled this kit over the last few months.
I use it on my family, friends and have been paid to do makeup
on others a few times <3
I paid $30 for the case at Target.

Top is all primers, face powders, broners, blushes,
highlighers, sponges, bases, chapsticks and makeup remover.

Sanitizing supplies, Kleenex, bronzers,
moisturizers and pressed powders.

Foundations, mascaras and eyeliners

Palettes, lashes, sanitizing spray, mixing palette and washcloths.

So that is it! What did you think? How do you organize your stash?

Some new brushes!!

Over the last month I have acquired a bunch of new brushes so I figured I would just lump them into one post to make it more exciting! Are you excited yet? I sure am because in this brush haul is my new favorite brush! Move over MAC #222 because you have competition!

First up is the MAC 168SE Travel Cheek Contour Brush. I found this gem for sale in a facebook group and arranged a trade. I personally HATE travel size brushes but you know what I hate more.... MAC PRICING ON FULL SIZE BRUSHES! I have way too many kids to be affording MAC brushes. So anyway, I decided to give this brush a whirl simply because it was MAC. That was a very good decision because I LOVE this brush. I personally use it to apply blush ( not contour), the angled design and size of the brush are perfect for my face. I have been using the tip from Goss Makeup Artist and only applying blush to my cheekbones and staying away from the apples of my cheeks so the small size and angle of this brush fit perfect into the smaller area.

Next is the Ultimate Eyeshadow Brush from Beauty From The Earth. I received this brush in my prize package last month. Remember I was in the top ten for the Bridal Makeup Challenge on Makeupbee?   This brush costs $9.99 and is available here. I am not sure what this brush is made of but I believe it is synthetic. I have used this brush numerous times and it has quickly become one of my favorites for applying eyeshadow (before blending).  The size is perfect and the bristles are packed just dense enough to grab the right amount of shadow. I could use a few more of these in my brush collection!

Now on to the Sonia Kashuk Crease Brush. These brushes are EXTREMELY cheap and GREAT quality. The normal price for the Sonia Kashuk Core eyeshadow brushes is $5.99. I had a $2 off coupon so this brush was a steal. I use this brush a lot. It is a good addition to my collection. I have 2 other crease brushes by Studio Tools but both are really fluffy so I do not use them as a crease brush but this brush fits nicely into the crease. I like it!

Then we have the Real Techniques Stippling Brush. I paid around $8 for this brush at Ulta. I wanted this brush and  I do not even know what stippling really is. Someone commented and told me that using a stippling brush with that gold MSF I got from MAC would be a good idea so I got this brush. I have used it once to stipple on some highlighter. I just dabbed it on thinking that was how you used a stippling brush. I have watched some videos and see this brush is quite versatile so I am excited to see how it works. I will update you all!

Last is an elf Fan Brush. My makeup sensei told me I needed a fan brush. I am FAR too cheap to spend good money on a brush that is used to flick makeup OFF my face so I opted for the $3 studio version from elf. I have used it to flick off black eyeshadow and glitter from my face and it works nicely. Before I would wipe it off with makeup remover and make a bigger mess so I am glad I got this brush.

So that is my brush haul from last month! What do you think? Have you tried any of these brushes? if so what did you think? If not, do you have any brushes you are excited about lately? Please share!

Christina

Overall thoughts?  I really like this blush palette. I ended up paying around $10 for it which is a STEAL. The color range in this palette is great, ranging from bright to light. My go to color is the bottom row second color in. It is gorgeous. You also get matte and shimmer finish in this palette which is nice. The darker colors are great for contouring as well. I found the formula of this blush very good and easy to work with. I am beyond pleased with this palette.

Have you tried BH Cosmetics 10 Color Blush Palette? If so what did you think?

Ben Nye Essential Eyeshadow Palette

What is it? A palette of 8 intensely pigmented rich neutral shades
 How much is it? $40.50
Where to buy it?http://www.battsavl.com/products/essential-eye-shadow-palette-esp-912

After the whole hot mess that is called the BH Neutral Palette I knew I needed a good quality neutral palette and could not get my mind off of this Ben Nye Essential palette. I am a sucker for anything Ben Nye. Every single product I have tried from Ben Nye has been top notch and superior. This palette was a HUGE splurge for me but it was necessary ( I tell myself this and it makes it better).

Vanilla ER-302

Shell ER-314

Cork ER-50

Mink Stole ER-37

Black ER-99

Graphite ER-98

Smoky Taupe ER-36

Black- Brown ER-595

Natural Indoor Light over NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk

Flash over NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk

Indirect Sunlight over NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk

Sunlight  over NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk
I can honestly say these are best neutral pressed shadows I have ever used. They are so pigmented and rich in color and the formula is smooth and buttery. They are amazing. I ordered my palette from Batts AVL. I have ordered Ben Nye products from them numerous times and my orders have all shipped very quickly and arrived perfectly. Check them out here

I used the whole palette for this look. Check it out, I ditched the winged liner and used the black shadow as a liner instead! I also used Black/Brown on my brows.

Overall I am extremely pleased with this palette. WAY more than I thought I would be. I am not a huge fan of neutrals but this palette makes me want to wear them more. It also makes me want to buy every single Ben Nye shadow ever made but that is a whole other issue. While Ben Nye may seem expensive it really is worth it.

Do you have the Ben Nye Essential Palette? If so, what do you think?  If not, what are you waiting for? Get one!!!
