MAC Casual Color Lip and Cheek Colour Pots

My wonderful, awesome makeup sensei Lisa got her goodies from the MAC Casual Colour collection today and she was kind enough to take pics, swatches and share her opinion with me. She is a sweetheart and told me I could share with you all too! Thank you Lisa!!

Weekend Getaway and Evening Stroll
These 2 are much more pigmented colors than the other lip and cheek colour pots.
Lazy Sunday, Relaxation and Have A Lovely Day
I think this is fairly good representation of their real color... Have A Lovely Day is not nearly as pink as some swatches have made it look. It is very similar in color to Tarte Exposed blush & TT Neapolitan Lane. Relaxation is a fairly muted color too, which I didn't expect but I really like it. The containers of these are not glass. They are really similar in size to the Sleek Pout Polish...the container is just a tiny bit smaller in diameter but they are a bit bigger in their height.

Lazy Sunday, Relaxation, Have a Lovely Day, Weekend Getaway and Evening Stroll
2 swipes per swatch
Lazy Sunday on cheek and Have A Lovely Day on lips. I wanted to test out Have a Lovely Day to see if it would end up pinker when worn .Nope it didnt. It's pretty much nude, but its a really wearable nude, it is not too light or too fleshy toned so that you look dead.

I decided that I needed a bit more pink to balance out my eyeshadow... Cheeks: Lazy Sunday --> added some Relaxation . Lips: Have a Lovely Day ---> added some Relaxation. The combo of those 2 on the lips is really nice. They mix well so you can sorta tweak out some custom colors. I would recommend these in general more for lipcolor, but I think they also work really nicely on the cheeks if you can handle your cheeks feeling slightly moisturized to the touch.... I'm sure you could set them with a powder if you wanted to and that would go away.
I would classify Have a Lovely Day as more of a pink-beige-brown. As blush they actually look quite natural. At first they're a bit shiny and moist feeling but they dry down pretty quickly. I wouldnt say they feel sticky or oily at all, like when i touch my cheek now it just feels a bit moisturized. As a lip color they're very comfortable to wear, at first they feel like a lip balm and are a bit shiny/slippery sorta like a cremesheen or lustre but after 20 minutes or so they dry down into feeling more like the kissable lipcolors which are very lightweight.

Thank you Lisa for your opinions! You are awesome!!!

Lime Crime Coquette Lipstick

I finally got my hands on a Lime Crime lipstick!!! I participated in a swap last month in one of my makeup groups and my awesome friend Kelsey sent me this beauty, Coquette!! I have wanted to try a lipstick from Lime Crime for MONTHS so when I opened my package and seen this I was so excited! Even more excited when I seen it was a nude lippie!!!!
First I have to comment on the freaking adorable packaging! Super cute! Lime Crime lipsticks come in 15 different colors ranging from "normal" colors like red and pink to "crazy" colors like yellow and mint. I love me some crazy!!! These lipsticks are a bit pricey at $15.99 but they are vegan and cruelty free so that is a plus. They are super high quality in my opinion so the price tag is justified.
Coquette is described as a pale opaque, peachy-nude.  I found this description to be true. On my lips it was pretty light and less peachy than I would have liked though. The formula is very smooth and has a nice taste and smell to it. This lipstick says it is opaque and it sure is. It glided on with full coverage with one swipe over my lips.

My overall thoughts on this lipstick is that I love the formula, it is great. The color is REALLY nice but still a touch to light for my skin tone so the search for the perfect nude lippie is still on. I totally want to try more of the lipsticks offered by Lime Crime, espescially some of the more daring colors! I am also dying to try some of their pressed palettes they recently unveiled. Sadly I am on a STRICT no buy for awhile so all splurges must wait! I am compiling a list of things I MUST have when my no buy is up though. What Lime Crime lipsticks do you think I need?? What Lime Crime lipsticks are your fave? If you have a pic or swatch please link below in the comments!

Sugarpill HeartBreaker Palette

I got my new Heart Breaker palette from Sugarpill last Wednesday! I have been waiting for this palette for MONTHS. SO EXCITED!! Sugarpill is by far my favorite bright and bold makeup company. This palette and the others in the "Addicted to Pretty" collection are $34 and worth every single penny. You can also buy the shadows individually for $12 each. All of the pressed shadows from Sugarpill are SUPER pigmented and go on smooth like butter. Can you tell I love them??
Sugarpill palettes are very thick and sturdy. It is like a regular cardboard palette on steroids. This palette came with 4 gorgeous new colors.

Vibrant matte lime green with slightly pearl sheen.

Vibrant matte royal blue.

Matte mint seafoam with a slightly pearl sheen

Matte purple with a slightly pearl sheen

All of my babies!!

This picture seriously makes me smile. So gorgeous!!

I used the whole palette in the look below. My eyeliner wasn't  cooperating very well but I still like the way it came out. Velocity is so pretty and a shade of blue that I love to wear lately so I think it is my favorite out of the palette BUT I love them all. They are all so bold and apply beautifully. They blend with ease just like all the other pressed Sugarpill shadows.

I used 2AM over a purple NYX Jumbo pencil for my eyebrows!

I did my friends makeup the day after I got the palette, she devirginized it!! I used all of the colors in the palette on her. I really like how this look came out. I actually like it better than the one I did above. I plan on using this palette everyday this weekend so watch for some more looks soon!
Did you buy your Heart Breaker palette yet? If not, what are you waiting for? Everyone needs this! If you already have yours, what do you think? If you have done looks please post a link to it in the comments below so I can check it out.

Neutral faces!!

Since visiting the MAC store and getting new face stuff I have been obsessed with focusing on my face instead of my eyes. I did two looks last week that were SUPER neutral for me. I love both of them!! In both looks I used MAC Soft Sand and Glissade as well as some e.l.f lashes. In the look above and below I used Pink Swoon and Pink Cult for blush. My eyes are all Coastal Scents 88 Shimmer and Matte palettes. Lips are Tarte Lipsurgence in Glitzy.
In this look I used Fleet Fast as the blush, Glissade as an eyeshadow and my lips are Mally gloss.
I have become addicted HARD to blush, bronzer, powders, highlighters, foundation....ALL OF IT!!! I am dying to go to the MAC store and test things!! What are your favorite face products?? What do I need???

Copy Cat

So I did basically the same look I do all the time. Derp. I swear I am in a rut! This time I used Pretty Addictions. I used Pina Colada, Torrid, Royal Rebel, True and Vivid. My cheeks are Pink Swoon ( MAC) and my lips are a mix of Imagine This and Sweet Sunrise ( MAC).
Later that night I decided the look needed to be amped up so I added a ton of loose glitter!!

Introducing Winks By Georgie!

                   High Fashion Flutter at Nordstrom.com
Georgie Beauty announces launch of innovative faux lash collection, Winks by Georgie™, with Nordstrom.com.
Georgie Beauty, a new eco-luxe beauty brand, has launched its collection of faux lashes and botanically-infused lash adhesive on Nordstrom.com. Georgie Beauty cofounders and sisters, Abbey and Megan, created Winks out of a love for faux lashes and desire for an innovative product line – classic lash styles, a chemical-free lash adhesive, and sustainable packaging.

The Winks collection features naturalistic, easy-to-wear lash styles and the first botanically-infused lash adhesive that soothes delicate skin while maximizing adhesion. Winks Adhesive does not contain harsh chemicals used in other lash adhesives on the market, namely formaldehyde (formalin solution), parabens, and synthetic fragrance. Instead, the dermatologist-tested adhesive uses organic blue chamomile and an advanced latex in its proprietary formula, and it’s also PETA certified, vegan certified, and made in the U.S.
“We couldn’t stand using harsh lash adhesives that are packed with chemicals (the same ones used in superglue!), irritate your eyes, and damage your real lashes when you remove your falsies,” explained Abbey. “That’s way we developed our own adhesive. It’s the highest quality, safest lash adhesive on the market.”

In addition to classic, naturalistic lash styles and a topnotch adhesive, the Winks collection is different because lashes are packaged in eco-chic,
refillable compacts. Because Winks are premium quality lashes, they are
re-wearable, and the sisters wanted a clean place to store them and keep them in tiptop shape between uses. The compacts make it easy to re-wear Winks and toss them in a purse or cosmetic bag. They’ve also proven to be a huge hit as gifts for bridesmaids, birthday girls, and celebrities. Celebrity makeup artist Kristen Furbacher describes Winks as “your favorite mascara … times 10!”

“Faux lashes are the secret beauty product of celebs, models, and even women in mascara ads,” said Megan, “because the camera loves lashes.” Winks fans include the American Idol contestants, Stacy Keibler, Tori Spelling, and presenters at the CMA Awards, to name a few. Winks are also a must for cocktail parties, dates, weddings, profile pics, and any other time you want your eyes to pop.
Winks lash compacts are $28, lashes range from $15 - $18, and Winks Adhesive is $8. The Winks collection is also sold at Neiman Marcus, Cos Bar, and high-end beauty boutiques nationwide.
