Sleek Pout Polish

The girls in a makeup group I am usually do Sleek orders together to save in shipping. However, I am always broke when they order but I was able to pick up a new Pout Polish in one of their destashing sale. Two things you will notice, I buy the same color lippie over and over again just in different forms, sometimes gloss, sometimes lipstick, sometimes lip balm etc. You get the point. Second thing is I love buying in destashing sales and lucky for me I have a lot of makeup friends who like to destash!!
I nabbed this beauty for only a few dollars. I meant to take a picture before I deflowered this with my finger but I forgot. Poo on me. Pout Polish is a tinted gloss that doubles are a nourishing lip balm and is enriched with jojoba, avocado, and sweet almond oil as well as SPF15. Good stuff my friends! I really love this stuff. I keep it on top of my vanity and use it daily. Pout Polish is $6.50 and comes in quite a few shades BUT Sleek is a United Kingdom based company so shipping can be pricey. They do offer free shipping codes every now and again so keep your eyes peeled!!

Have you tried Pout Polish? What about other Sleek products? If so what did you think and what are your favorite Sleek products?

Beauty From The Earth Pro Colors!

I have been so behind on blogging!! I have had this set of BFTE Pro Colors for almost two weeks!! Ahhhh!! After this post I have one more then I am totally caught up! Huge WOOOOOOOOOOOT!!  Anyway, BFTE came out with a line of Pro Colors recently. Pro Colors are different from the standard BFTE pigments because they are made with dyes, silicones, waxes, etc. which make them more pigmented, vibrant, and blendable. They cost the same as the standard pigments, $6.50 for full size and $2.00 for sample jars. I just realized I missed one of the Pro Colors somewhere and added in Red Hot which is not a Pro Color. Lack of sleeping is getting to me!!!

Rainbow goodness <3
Most people have heard of Beauty From The Earth but if you haven't here is a little info. BFTE is run by an amazing lady named Crystal. She is a busy mom and very dedicated to BFTE and her customers. BFTE has an ENORMOUS amount of pigments to choose from on their website. I have the hardest time ordering because there is so much to choose from so I end up just randomly picking things. I have never been disappointed! On top of the huge selection BFTE has the FASTEST shipping time. Almost all of my orders have been shipped within 24-48 hours. So awesome owner, great products and fast shipping time = FABULOUSNESS! One of my favorite thing about BFTE is that they offer every color pigment in a sample jar for only $2. This is great if you want to be able to try a color out before committing to a 5 gram pot or if you are trying to build your stash. Most of my BFTE stash is sample size. I have yet to finish a pot so they last quite a long time. Go check BFTE out!!

All of these colors are so full of win. Kastra and Meissa are so pretty and will probably get the most wear from me because I am currently into teals and blurples. Orionis and Okul are calling my name too. These pigments swatched very well and quite smooth. I will update how they compare to the standard pigments in a few days.

I have been naked face all week but I plan on doing a look with these colors today. Today is a big day here, my daughter turns 13! So I won't have time to come back and blog the look but I will post it over on my facebook so be sure to check it out. Also head on over to BFTE facebook and tell them hello <3

MAC Imagine This

I snagged this in a friends blog sale. Apparently it was a part of a limited edition holiday set only available at Nordstroms. I am on the hunt for the perfect nude lippie from MAC. This however is not perfect on me. It is really pretty and the formula is nice but I feel like it is a bit too tan on me.

On my lips it reminds me of the promo for Viva Glam Gaga 2. Those of you who have that lipstick does this look similar to you? I only have the lipglass so I can't compare!

Awesome!!

Me and the husband had a date day last week. We ended up at Hooters and then did some beer fueled shopping at Ikea! Fun times! I wanted to do a darker look than normal and really wanted to use some red shadow. I hate wearing dark colors when it starts getting hot. Of course the day i wore this it was almost 100 degrees. Woe is me!! Anyhow, I used Sugarpill Love +, Poison Plum and a hint of Dollipop to blend the top edge. My cheeks are MAC Pink Swoon and my lips are MAC Pink Popcorn

Happy Birthday to me!!!!

I know I gush on and on about my awesome friends but once again I must do it again. My sweetheart of a friend AMP thought I needed some MAC for my birthday so she gave me some money with the rules that I MUST BUY MAC!! I had no problem whatsoever falling that rule! I snatched up Pink Cult and Pink Popcorn both from the recently released Reel Sexy collection.
I have quite a few MAC hoarding friends so I asked them which items out of the new collection did I need, seeing they had them all for a couple of weeks at that point. Almost everyone said Pink Cult and Pink Popcorn, so that is what I ordered. When I opened Pink Cult I have to say I was disappointed. It looks super matte, dry and plain. I did not even think it would show up on my face but boy was I wrong!! It is absolutely gorgeous! It gives me a perfect flushed look. I have used it pretty much everyday since getting it!!

Getting good swatch pictures was so hard so I just added them all. I did not edit the color at all in the swatch pics.

I was also a bit sad when I opened Pink Popcorn because I felt like it was similar to Budding Love but once again.....WRONG. I am going to stop making assumptions from now on until I actually try the product on. Pink Popcorn is flippin' AWESOME! It goes on silky smooth and sheer but is buildable to a bold opaque finish. Ohhhh I love it sooooooooo much!!!!

Did you pick anything up from the recently released MAC collections? If so, what did you get and what ended up being your fave?

Minimal Makeup Day!

I went walking at the park and decided to do a light makeup look. I did not use my normal face primer, Porefessional and instead used moisturizer under my foundation. I really did not like how it applied. The Porefessional gives almost a slick canvas for applying foundation and the moisturizer almost made it like a dry, tacky surface. Strange! I went with a winged liner, some blush and finished it with Budding Love by MAC. Do you wear makeup when you work out?

Coastal Scents Shimmer Palette + Ben Nye

I did a super neutral quick look using some of the tans and flesh colors in my new Coastal Scents 88 Shimmer palette. I did not take any close up of my eyes because this look was really ALL about the lips. I used Ben Nye lipcolor in Poppy. I am in LOVE with Ben Nye lipsticks. They are so creamy and have some awesome staying power!! I get a lot of positive feedback when I do these neutral eyes/bold lips looks so I have been trying to incorporate more of them into my routine. What do you think??

Milani Crystal Gloss

As you know I have a new found love, It is Milani! The brand is so awesome and I love that it is available at Target. I actually picked these up in one of my friends de-stash sales. I paid around $5 for the 3 which is a good deal considering they retail for over $5 each.

I took the wrapper off of this one and the name wasn't printed on the cap so I am unsure what color it is but I THINK it is Pucker Up. The gloss formula was nice, sticky but not too sticky. Had a pleasant smell and applied nicely.
This color barely showed up on my lips but it is definitely a my lips but better shade for me.

Fruit Punch
The name alone on this gloss makes it fabulous. I love it! This is a super pretty pink gloss. I am slowly opening myself up to lip colors. This gloss is a nice bridge between nude and total impact! Don't ya think?

Raspberry Icing
Gah!! Why do they have to have such yummy names!! This gloss was the boldest out of the three. I have quite a few hot pink lippies in my collection now and this falls into that category for sure. This one will get the least amount of use because it is a bit bold for me.

Overall I really liked these gloss. They are smaller than the other Miliani glosses I own coming in at 0.17 oz. They come in many different finishes such as cream, frost, shimmer, glitter and pearl and are available in over 15 colors! Have you tried these glosses? If so, what did you think?
