Clarisonic Mia

I have to admit when I first heard about the
Clarisonic I laughed and thought anyone
who shelled out over $100 for a face
washer was nuts. Now that I have one, I stand
corrected. This thing is AMAZING!!!

Now I do still think the price tag is a bit hefty. The Mia which is a smaller
version of the original Clarisonic sells for $149 new. The Clarisonic Classic
sells for $195 and has two speeds compared to the Mia which has one.
The only reason I bought this was because I got a GREAT deal.
A friend of mine was selling hers ( minus the brush head of course) for $50
but we ended up doing a trade for some makeup I had and some
products from my etsy shop.

The Clarisonic Mia comes in a variety of colors.
Mine is red which is my favorite color!!

Description from the Clarisonic website.

About Clarisonic Mia Sonic Skin Cleansing System

Our smallest Sonic Skin Cleansing System, the one-button, one-speed Mia comes in a variety of colors and fits your active lifestyle – offering beautiful skin at home or on-the-go.

Benefits Beyond Clean Skin

Sonic skin cleansing improves skin tone, reduces the appearance of pore size and helps skin care products work their best.
The Clarisonic Skin Cleansing System uses a patented sonic frequency of more than 300 movements per second to clean, soften and smooth skin. In just 60 seconds, the micro-massage action removes 6X more makeup and 2X more dirt and oil than cleansing with your hands alone. Removing more dirt and oil from your pores also helps products work more effectively.

_________________________________________________

I can honestly say that everything the Clarisonic claims to do, it does!!
My face has never looked better!! It is free of blemishes and looks
pretty damn good! My husband notices on a daily basis!!
I personally like using Say Yes To Carrots cream cleanser
with the Clarisonic. So far I have had GREAT results and I totally
recommend the combo to everyone!!

Replacement brush heads are pretty pricey at $25 each.
They come in a variety of types such as sensitive skin, deep pore and
body. Me being the cheap person I am found them on Ebay for only
$11.40 shipped. I bought it here . The store claims they are
actual Clarisonic brush heads, whether they are or not is a mystery to me but
they do fit and work perfectly. I do plan on getting the deep pore and body brush
head soon!!
Do you have a Clarisonic? If so what do you think about it?
What is your favorite cleanser to use with it?

BFTE EOTD

I am trying to use less black liquid eyeliner during the week due to
some new wrinkles I have on my right eyelid. So annoying!!
I have a spot near the inner eye that the eyeliner pen skips and jumps
when I try to line it. Then when I actually get the liner on it bleeds up
into the wrinkles. It looks fabulous. NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So here is my fresh faced Beauty From The Earth EOTD.

I used Meow, Melon and Red River for this look.

Benefit Feeling Cheeky Mini Set

I recently picked up this nifty little cheek tint set from Sephora.
I paid $15.
I had been looking for something to give me that
"flushed" look and almost all of my friends
recommended Benefit benetint.

I sold high beam because I really do not like the
way illuminators make my face look shiny. It irks me.

Opening the bottle surprised me because the applicator looked
like a really cheesy stiff nail polish brush. I tried applying this with the brush
to my cheeks but because this is a stain type tint it sets like uber fast.
So fast you do not really have a chance to blend it out.
I applied some to my fingers and rubbed it in and that seemed to
work a bit better but it stained my fingers.
Overall the best way to apply is with one of those foam
makeup wedges.

Posietint is a petal-pink stain that plants a kiss

of see-through tint on cheeks and lips.

I agree with the product description. Posie tint gives a really nice sheer pink color.

Benefit Benetint is a kiss-proof and waterproof, indelibly sheer tint. It gives an innocent yet provocative glow to keep everyone guessing, "what has she been up to?"

Totally agree with the product description! This gives
the best rose colored flush look! It is a bit
hard to apply because it stains so fast but overall
I really like it. Plus it smells like roses!!

I used benetint on my cheeks and lips here.
I lightly applied Dusty Rose from Antoinette's
Revolution Cosmetics on my eyes.

Overall I really like these tints. While they are a bit of a pain
to apply they are worth the hassle because of the gorgeous
flushed look they achieve.

What is your favorite tint from Benefit?

EOTD: Teal for Date Night

Me and my sweetness went out for "Date Night" last week.
I decided to do a teal look since that is what I feel best in lately.
For this look I used Brad by Madd Style Cosmetics on the inner tear
duct area. To me Brad is a FANTASTIC color. It is a stand out
to me out of all Madd Style colors. I use it anytime
I am doing a blue/teal look as my inner tear duct color.
From Brad I added Do Me ( a matte teal), Live for Today ( a greener
based teal) and Intoxicated ( a bright bold blue) all by Virus Insanity Eyeshadow.
I glammed it up a bit by adding Dazzle Dust by Madd Style all over the whole
eye area. I also used false lashes in the half style and Hard Candy lash tinsel
over my regular mascara.
My necklace is from Razenkids and Korkers.
Marty ( the owner) is a great friend of mine!
My lips are a mix of MAC Viva Glam Gaga 2 and
Tarte LipSurgence in Peaceful.

Korres Mango Lip Butter

On the advice of a beauty buddy I recently picked up some
Lip Butter by Korres. I chose Mango because I am loving
the whole peach/orange lip trend.
This was considered a pretty big splurge as it was $12
which is pricey for lip balm.
Information from Sephora product listing

Korres Lip Butter gives lips a lovely, shiny finish and offers a natural flush

when applied to the apples of the cheeks. Its shea-butter infusion conditions

and heals lips and provides a softening touch to the skin.

Overall I really like this lip balm. It has a great
formula that is not too greasy or sticky and
seems to be extra moisturizing while leaving a hint
of color.
Thumbs up!!
Have you tried Korres Lip Butter?
If so what "flavor" is your favorite?

EOTD - Chromalusts by Sugarpill

Sugarpill's Chromalust pigments since they
arrived a few months ago.
I have no idea why but I have shied away from using them.
I decided to get over and play with them more!

Glad I did!!
I love the way this look came out!
I used Lumi, Tipsy, Royal Sugar and Hysteric

Lucky 107 Review, Swatches and a Giveaway!

Rebecca from Lucky 107  recently sent me a package of products to review
I tried a pigment from this company last year
and was not too impressed. I had heard she improved her pigments and
noticed that a lot of people were loving the pigments so I happily agreed to
do a review!

Rebecca really outdoes herself with packaging!
The products came in a box instead of a bubble mailer
which is nice but what makes this special is that
she hand draws art on each and every box that goes out!!
Now that is dedication!!!
Inside my box ( that sounded dirty, sorry)
The product packaging is awesome!!
Everything looked so cute!!!
Also included was a packing slip, a handwritten note card,
business cards and a brochure that contained product
and company information.
The brochure is a nice professional touch.

My goodies!!

This is a lotion bar that is scented with Red Rose, Thyme and
Vanilla. I have never used a lotion bar before so I can't really
judge if this is a good one or not. The formula was nice and
absorbed well though.

Lip Balm - I thought this lip balm was nice. It had a smooth, light
non greasy or waxy formula.
Lip Balms and Glosses are priced at $4.00 and can be seen here.

Pigments
Iris - MnG in a Jar
Cliffhanger -Backstabber
Top label on the pigment jars.
All the jars were shrinked wrapped but lacked
sifter seals. This was not an issue to me though.
Bottom labeling.
This labels contains every bit of information you need to know.
Color, whether or not it is lip safe, ingredients, where it was made
and a handy dandy warning! A+ for this label!!
Pigments are $3.75 which is insane cheap. I am not sure if this
is regular price or a sale though. Samples are only $1.50!

Swatches

Swatches in sunlight.

Here is a look I did using MnG in a Jar, Backstabber and
Cliffhanger.
Overall I really liked the pigments. I thought they were easy to apply,
very opaque, blended nicely and had great staying power.
They did not crease or "melt" away.

I was also sent a pot of "Concrete" primer.
I followed the directions and applied it to my eyelids before
my base and pigments. It has a nice formula that was
easy to apply to the eye area. I was pleasantly
surprised by this primer. After 8+ hours of wear I had
no creasing and my makeup still looked great.
I tried finding the product listing so I could link you but
I was unable to.

Overall thoughts?
I am VERY happy with the changes to this company.
The products are great and the packaging
is perfect. The pricing seems to be way below average
which is AWESOME!!
Lucky 107 has a very wide product assortment available
through their Artfire shop.
Check them out!!

Have you tried Lucky 107?
If so, what did you think?

Head on over to my facebook page to get in on
